Website Backups Questions

How often you should backup your website files varies depending on the type of website you have and how often you make changes to your site.

If you have an informational website and only make a few changes every month you can probably get away with only backing up your site once a month.

If you're making a few changes a week then we would recommend backing up your website once a week just to be safe.

If you make a lot of changes to your site either every day or every couple of days then you're best backing up daily to ensure you have the latest updates saved.

In short yes, having website backups gives you peace of mind incase something happens to your website.

Whether this is deletion of critical files, changes to the site you didn't mean to make, your site breaking after an update etc.

There are many reasons why we think it is essential to have website backups as they not only save you time if something happens but they also reduce the impact of your site being down.

Without having any website backup plans in place your business could be losing a lot!

You could lose all of your work, the longer you have your website, the more time and money you have probably invested into it. You have content, graphics, plugins, settings, customized code, scripts and marketing funnels that you really don't want to lose.

You could lose money, if your website generates revenue then if it goes down you are losing money or potential customers. The financial losses don't end either when your site has been restored, if your site is down long enough then your customers may start to wonder if it is secure or if you have gone out of business which can lose you lifetime customers.

You can lose time that you can't get back. Think about how long it would take to restore your website back to full working order, this could take you days, weeks or even months! All that time is wasted as you could already have it saved in a backup to restore within a few minutes.

We offer cloud incremental backups. These are stored on a remote server and take up less space than full backups as they only copy new changes instead of the whole website everytime.

We can offer full backups if these are something you're after, but these take longer to complete and take up more storage space, so are a little more costly.

Yes, you can switch between our backup plans for example; if you are currently paying for monthly backups, we can change you over to weekly backups and you will just pay for it on your next bill if you pay monthly or you can cover the difference to pay for the whole year compared to your current plan cost.

Yes, our website backups are encrypted so all of your files, folders and databases are securely stored.

These will also be scanned daily for malware and security monitoring to ensure they are protected.

You can get web hosting, backups, business email and more all for one simple annual or monthly price which works out cheaper than buying each service indivudally.

No, you do not need a website care package. However, if you already have a couple of services from us, you may be able to get additional services for cheaper in comparison to buying them indivudally.

We offer 3 different website care packages at the moment, each with varying levels of service.

If you don't want everything in one package but it has something else you want then you can customise your own website care package with whatever you require.

Yes, our plans include a set amount of support tickets worked out at an hourly rate per ticket.

If your website care package or origjnal web design plan don't have enough support tickets in them, then you can contact us to increase this limit for an additonal cost.

Our support tickets are worked out at £20.00 per hour (or per ticket).

A support ticket allows you to get additional work completed after the website design has been finished.

Do you want to add content to one of your website pages? Or maybe you want to create an entirely new page.

A support ticket allows you to get this work done without you worrying about doing it yourself.

Yes, all of our website care packages work out cheaper than buying the services individually.

They also have a couple of additional services that are not yet available to purchase on their own, giving you unique access.

Content Creation Questions

Content creation also known as copywriting is the process of creating different forms of media that appeal to your target audience.

For example; we can provide the content for your webpages if you're not sure of the text you want.

We can provide blog posts for your business if these are something you don't want to spend time doing yourself.

You can get stock images added to your site if you don't have images to upload yourself or want higher quality images.

Anything on your website is classed as content, we can create most things.

No, you do not need content creation, only get it if you want it.

It can save you time from not doing it yourself and it can also be tailored to what you're specifically looking for, but it is not a neccessity.

Yes, you're the expert in your line of business. You can create any content for your website and we can either implement it for you or you can add it yourself.

If you choose not to do it yourself then it can save you time that you can use for other things.

This depends entirely on the type of content that is required.

If you need a few images this probably won't take too long. However, if you require blog posts then these may take longer due to more work being put into them to get them just right.

If you would like us to do your content creation then you can have as much as you want. However, the more you have created, the more it will cost you overall.

You will need to think about what you really need and the most cost effective amount to results.

All we really require from you before starting to create your content will be the ideas.

If you require a blog post, give us the topic you want us to write about.

If it's images you need, tell us the type of images or colours you're after etc.

We can usually create content with only a few bits of information.

SEO Questions

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a set of processes used to improve a website's visibility in search engine results pages, such as Google.

By improving rankings for relevant search queries (commonly known as keywords), you can get more organic unpaid traffic to your website.

Most businesses need SEO to do better because it gets you out to more potential customers.

You can use pay-per-click advertising alongside SEO or on it's own, however, they tend to be less cost-effective compared to SEO.

Click-through rates are usually higher when using SEO compared to PPC (Pay-Per-Click).

  • Average Click-through rates for paid results = 1.8% on desktop and 0.02% on mobile
  • Average Click-through rate for SEO results = 45.1% on desktop, 43.1% on mobile

SEO is unpaid whereas pay per click means you pay for every click onto your website.

SEO works by making your website aligned with what search engines and their users are looking for and how they look for it.

For example Google uses website crawlers to look at the web,  you need to make these crawlers able to access your content properly by using SEO.

Search engines look at many factors and signals including the wording of your query, relevance, usability, sources and location are just a few. Each of these are used to determine your ranking for your chosen search terms.

The time to rank on Google and ranking high on Google can vary dramatically for different websites.

When launching a new website it can take up to a year for Google to fully determine where your site should rank. In this time you are likely to see a large fluctuation in rankings.

The time it takes for your site to rank higher depends on how many resources you allocate and the level of competition for the given keywords.

Rankings can also be limited by your brand's overall authority. Whilst it may only take a couple of months to rank high for niche terms it can take years to rank high for very competitve terms.

Social media does not directly affect your Google rankings as Google does not take shares, followers, or engagements into consideration when determining website rankings.

However, social media marketing can have an indirect impact on SEO.

People who engage with your brand on social media may be more likely to search for your brand on Google which in turn engages with your search results.

Social media allows you to collect feedback as well as metrics that can help you work out the best SEO strategy such as content topics your potential customers engage with the most.

Simply put your website speed affects your SEO. Page speed is a direct ranking factor used by search engines like Google, however, page speed can also have an indirect affect on your rankings if it is slow due to bounce rates and reduced dwelling time.

Users on average will leave a website if it is taking too long to load after a few seconds, search engines notice this and rank your website lower if there are a lot of bad user experiences.

Google PageRank is a Google algorithm that measures the importance of webpages based on quality and quantity of links pointing to them.

It considers links going to a website as votes and pages that have more high quslity links are usually considered as more important and ranked higher in search results.

Keywords (also known as keyphrases or search queries) are words and phrases that users type into search engines to find information on a particular subject.

SEO uses keywords in webpage content as a way of ranking higher in search results for the same keywords.

Any term used in a search engine whether it is a singular word or a longer phrase or sentence are considered keywords.

For example the word "Flower" is a keyword but so is the multi-word phrase "Which flowers grow in a forest". The search results changes based on how specific the keyword is.

The short simple answer is yes, it does. However, having a blog isn't a ranking factor itself.

Blogging is good for SEO because it helps with multiple things that are important ranking factors. When you have a blog which is updated often with high quality posts that are relevent to your target audience, it can make a massive difference to how your overall website performs in search engines.

Blogging keeps your website fresh and current as it keeps your website updated often. If you go to a website which hasn't been updated in a while then it can make you lose trust in the information on there.

Blogs can also increase a users time on your webpage. Google for example has a number one priority of giving users relevant helpfui information to their searches. If someone searches for something, clicks the first link but then backs out, this tells Google that that site is not at helpful as it once thought. On the other hand if someone stays on a webpage for a longer period of time that tells Google that the site is infact very helpful.

A blog can help your SEO incredibly well, find out all the reasons below:

Business Email Questions

Business email  addresses are those that use your company's domain name, such as you@yourcompany.co.uk.

As these email accounts resonate with your business they not only make you seem more professional but, your customers will be able to identify you easily.

Whilst having a business email isn't 100% needed, it is pretty essential as it allows your customers to identify you easily.

Having business email helps to establish your online business identity and enhance your credibility with your current and future customers.

Email's can start taking up a lot of storage space when you have been using a mailbox for a while. Business email storage is the storage space used to store your emails.

Having too little storage can mean you fill your mailbox up too quickly and have to constantly delete emails to free up space.

We offer 30-50GB of email storage which is enough for even a high volume email account for many many months if not years.

An email alias is a free email address connected to your main email account, it allows people to send emails to the alias and it gets sent to your actual email address instead.

For business purposes you can have multiple alias pointing towards your mailbox such as info@yourcompany.co.uk or support@yourcompany.co.uk so you can advertise these email addresses as a point of contact for your business without spending extra on more email accounts.

We provide 2 kinds of business email accounts to our customers.

SPAM can be sent by real humans, however, the majority are sent by a group of infected computers.

If not properly filtered and deleted regularly it can fill your email inbox quite quickly.

It can be quite dangerous as most senders of SPAM are trying to trick potential victims into downloading malicous software, sharing their personal data or sending them money.

A shared mailbox is a mailbox that multiple users can use to read and send email messages. Shared mailboxes can also be used to provide a common calendar, allowing multiple users to schedule and view vacation time or work shifts.

A distribution group (sometimes called a distribution list) are used when you want to send emails to a group of people without wanting to type each indiviudal recipient's name every time.
